The Court House Country Club was founded in 1947 by 20 Fairfax residents who wanted to belong to a local private country club. They purchased 121 acres near the Historic Fairfax County Courthouse and began converting the farmland into a golf course. The Club opened in 1948 with four holes, expanded to nine in 1949, and reached a full 18-hole course by 1954, along with a clubhouse, pool, and tennis courts. Membership grew to over 200. In 1958, the course was redesigned, and in 1963, the Club was renamed The Country Club of Fairfax. Our History FROM FARMLAND TO FAIRWAYS: THE STORY OF OUR CLUB

The Racquets Facility at The Country Club of Fairfax features five outdoor Har-Tru clay courts, three outdoor lighted Pro Cushion hard courts lined for tennis and pickleball, and a year-round indoor climate-controlled bubble with three Pro Cushion hard courts. After play, relax on our tennis veranda or visit our fully stocked Pro Shop.
